Plate Making
Artwork is converted to flexo printing plates, one plate per colour channel. Each plate is colour-proofed and approved before the production run begins.
In-house flexographic printing for custom flexible packaging — up to 10 colours, high-speed production, hygiene and medical grade, FOB Xiamen.
Flexographic printing — also called flexo printing — is a rotary process that transfers ink from flexible photopolymer plates to a moving substrate via anilox rollers. Tansox runs flexographic printing for flexible packaging in-house: up to 10 colours, water-based / UV inks, on substrates from BOPP and PET to non-woven and kraft — the right choice for medium-run hygiene and medical packaging.
From digital artwork to inspected, registered film — every job runs through the same four-stage workflow on our flexo lines in Quanzhou.

Film or non-woven substrate is loaded onto the press and registered to micron tolerance for accurate print placement across every station.
Each colour station applies UV or water-based ink via anilox roller to the substrate in precise registration — up to 10 colours in a single pass.
Printed substrate passes through drying units, then 100% in-line vision inspection checks colour consistency and registration accuracy before rewind.
The table below covers our standard flexographic production window. We routinely engineer outside of it — share your substrate, repeat length and colour count and we'll confirm feasibility.

Flexographic printing — flexo for short — is a rotary printing process that transfers ink from flexible photopolymer plates to a moving substrate via anilox rollers. For flexible packaging, each colour has its own plate and station, and the printed web runs through inline drying between stations.
It is faster and lower-tooling-cost than gravure, which makes it the right choice for medium-run hygiene and medical packaging — where colour count is moderate and turnaround matters.
Tansox flexo presses run up to 10 colour stations in a single pass — CMYK process plus six spot/Pantone colours, or fully spot-colour layouts. Pre-production proofs are colour-matched to your Pantone references and approved before the full run.
Tansox flexographically prints BOPP, PET, PE, non-woven, kraft paper and foil-laminated substrates up to 1,750 mm web width. Water-based, solvent-based and UV ink systems are available, with food-contact-compliant formulations on request.
