A side gusset bag has inward-folded side panels that expand when filled, making it ideal for bulk hygiene products like adult diapers, underpads, disposable gowns and large-count baby diaper packs. The gusset allows the bag to accommodate larger fill volumes than a standard flat pouch while still sealing flat for storage and shipping. Side gusset bags are sometimes also called quad seal bags or gusseted pouches.
Side gusset bags don't have a flat base like a flat bottom bag, so they don't stand independently when empty. When filled with product they can stand upright due to the gusset expansion. For guaranteed shelf standup on an empty bag, a flat bottom bag structure is recommended.
Tansox's standard MOQ for custom-printed side gusset bags is 10,000 units per SKU. Stock unprinted gusseted bags are available from 5,000 units. Larger format bags may have a higher MOQ based on roll efficiency — confirm with the sales team when requesting a quote.
