Polybutylene succinate offers flexible barrier with full biodegradability. Good moisture resistance for wipes and hygiene applications.
FSC-certified kraft outer with a thin biodegradable PE inner barrier. The natural-look choice — visual cue your customers recognize.
Sugarcane-derived polyethylene. Performs identically to conventional PE on existing filling lines — a drop-in replacement that lowers fossil content.
Renewable wood-pulp cellulose. Glass-clear transparency, fully biodegradable in soil, marine and home-compost environments.
Post-consumer recycled content combined with biodegradable polymers. Circular at both ends — recycled input, biodegradable output.

Biodegradable packaging breaks down into natural elements over time through microbial action — but the term itself does not specify a timeframe or environment.
Compostable packaging is a stricter subset: it must break down within a defined time (typically 90–180 days) under specified conditions (industrial or home compost) and leave no toxic residue. All compostable packaging is biodegradable, but not all biodegradable packaging is certified compostable.
Yes. Tansox supplies biodegradable structures certified to EN 13432 (European industrial compostability), ASTM D6400 (US compostability) and TÜV Austria OK Compost. Specific certifications depend on the material chosen — our PLA-based films and certain kraft + bio-PE laminates carry full certification, while bio-PE drop-in films focus on renewable feedstock claims.

Standard MOQ for custom-printed biodegradable packaging is 10,000 units per SKU, matching our conventional pouch program. Some specialty biodegradable structures may carry a higher MOQ (20,000+) based on minimum roll efficiency on the dedicated biodegradable lines.
