Roll Specification
Customer's slit width, core diameter, outside diameter and traverse are confirmed against the master roll specification. Slitter knife positions are set and verified before the run starts.
In-house precision slitting and rewinding — ±0.5 mm edge tolerance, 100 mm minimum slit width, rollstock, HFFS and VFFS film to exact customer-specified roll dimensions, FOB Xiamen.
Slitting and rewinding is the final converting step that cuts wide master rolls of printed and laminated flexible film to the exact width, core size, outside diameter and traverse specified by the customer's packaging line. Tansox runs slitting in-house at Quanzhou — directly downstream from the lamination and printing process — producing rollstock film, HFFS film and VFFS film with a ±0.5 mm edge tolerance to ensure consistent tracking on high-speed filling equipment.
From master roll to finished, labelled slit rolls — every order runs through the same four-stage slitting workflow at Quanzhou.
Customer's slit width, core diameter, outside diameter and traverse are confirmed against the master roll specification. Slitter knife positions are set and verified before the run starts.
The printed and laminated master roll is loaded, tensioned and tracked on the unwind. Web alignment and tension are controlled throughout the slit to prevent telescoping and edge waviness.
Rotary knives cut the master roll web into individual slit lanes. Knife sharpness and set are maintained per roll to ensure a clean, burr-free edge within the ±0.5 mm tolerance specification.
Slit lanes are rewound on customer-specified cores to the target OD and traverse. Each roll is weighed, measured and labelled with width, OD, lot number and production date before dispatch.
The table below covers our standard slitting production parameters. Share your roll specification and we'll confirm feasibility.
Tansox slit film ships to baby care, wet wipes, medical and cleanroom brands running HFFS, VFFS or rollstock-fed packaging lines where roll specification tolerance directly affects filling line uptime.
Five quality checkpoints applied to every slitting order:
Established ~1975 in Quanzhou, Fujian. Long experience slitting rollstock and packaging film for HFFS and VFFS filling lines in hygiene and medical applications.
Cert No. 11423Q46251R0M, valid until 2028. Roll dimension records, COA and full lot traceability on every slitting order.
Printing, lamination, slitting and converting all under one roof in Quanzhou. Slit rolls ship directly from the same facility that printed and laminated the film.
The standard minimum slit width on Tansox slitting lines is 100 mm. Narrower slit widths may be available on request depending on film structure and knife configuration — contact our sales team to confirm feasibility for widths below 100 mm.
Tansox standard slitting tolerance is ±0.5 mm on slit width. This is critical for HFFS and VFFS packaging lines where consistent roll width directly affects film tracking and machine uptime. Rolls outside tolerance are quarantined before dispatch.
Standard core sizes are 76 mm (3 inch) and 152 mm (6 inch). Target roll OD and traverse are specified per order. Non-standard core sizes can be accommodated — confirm requirements with our sales team at the time of quote. All rolls are labelled with width, OD, core size, lot number and production date.
