Microporous Film
CaCO3-filled PE film stretched to create micro-pores for breathability.
Microporous breathable film for baby diaper, sanitary pad and underpad backsheets. Custom print, manufacturer-direct, FOB Xiamen.
Breathable film is a microporous or micro-perforated flexible film that allows air and water vapour to pass through while remaining liquid-resistant. It is the essential backsheet material for baby diapers, sanitary pads, underpads and other hygiene products — keeping the product dry against the skin while allowing breathability for comfort. Tansox manufactures breathable film in PE-based microporous and printed formats.
Every variant ships from the same Quanzhou facility, with shared tooling, shared QA and a single project manager from artwork to FOB.

Breathable film is a microporous or perforated PE film that allows air and water vapour to pass through while blocking liquid. In baby diaper manufacturing, it is used as the outer backsheet — the layer against the baby's clothing — allowing skin ventilation while preventing leakage. Tansox supplies breathable film in reel format to diaper manufacturers' backsheet lamination lines.
Microporous film is made by blending calcium carbonate (CaCO3) into PE and stretching it — the stretch creates micro-pores that allow vapour transmission. Micro-perforated film uses mechanical needles to create larger holes — giving higher airflow but lower liquid barrier. Microporous is standard for premium diaper backsheets; micro-perforated suits applications where maximum breathability is the priority.
Yes. Tansox prints breathable film via flexographic press, up to 8 colours, Pantone-matched. Printed breathable film is used for branded diaper backsheets carrying size, product and brand information. A printed pre-production sample is supplied for approval before the full run.
