Aluminized film (镀铝) is produced by vacuum-depositing a thin aluminium layer onto plastic film substrate, creating a mirror-bright metallic surface with improved oxygen and moisture barrier performance. It is widely used in hygiene and medical packaging where both visual appeal and product protection are required.
Aluminized film is available across all major flexible packaging formats, produced in-house at our Quanzhou facility with shared QA and a single project manager from artwork to FOB.

Aluminized film uses vacuum metallization to deposit a very thin aluminium layer onto plastic film — it is lighter and more flexible than foil laminate. Foil laminate bonds a thicker aluminium foil layer between film layers for higher barrier performance. Aluminized film is ideal when a premium metallic appearance is needed alongside moderate barrier improvement.
Aluminized film provides significantly improved oxygen transmission rate (OTR) and water vapour transmission rate (WVTR) compared to unmetallized film. For maximum barrier — such as medical or sterilization packaging — foil laminate structures (PET/AL/PE) are recommended. Confirm your barrier requirement with our technical team.
